AINTELLIGENCE
Methodology

How AINTELLIGENCE reaches its compliance and health verdicts

Transparent data sources, honest accuracy language, and a validation programme aligned with EU buyer expectations.

Data sources

  • Sentinel-2 optical imagery for vegetation indices and change detection

  • Hansen Global Forest Watch tree-cover loss (2001–2024)

  • SAR consensus layer for cloud-persistent disturbance signals

  • EUDR protected-area and legality registries where applicable

Accuracy & limitations

Verdicts reflect the best available remote-sensing evidence at the analysis date. They support due diligence but do not replace ground truth, legal title review, or operator attestations required under EUDR.

Independent validation

A formal third-party validation study covering West African cocoa supply chains is scheduled for publication in 2026. Until then, pilot deployments are benchmarked against cooperative ground-truth samples.
